Dans cette comédie ultra-méta, un réalisateur tente de filmer une scène de braquage. Mais l’acteur manque de crédibilité, la pellicule s’épuise et la production vacille. Peu à peu, les couches de fiction s’empilent : on tourne un film, dans un film, dans un film. Entre chaos technique et ego blessés, Je suis rétro devient une satire grinçante sur le cinéma, où le vrai drame n’est pas l’histoire… mais la difficulté de la raconter.

In this ultra-meta comedy, a director struggles to film a heist scene. But the actor isn’t convincing, film stock runs out, and the production collapses. Layers of fiction keep stacking: a film, within a film, within a film. Between technical chaos and fragile egos, Je suis rétro becomes a biting satire of cinema, where the real drama isn’t the story on screen... it’s the impossibility of telling it.
